Residents are in charge of hospital visitations, all occasion greeting cards, etc.

Cookie Cart Visits
Residents take carts with cookies and hot chocolate to apartments of reclusive residents to visit with them.

Games/Cards Organizer
Residents assist in setting up and organizing card games.

Home Visits
Residents partner with management while visiting and befriending prospective residents.

Library Assistant
Residents manage the facility library; arranging, stocking, alphabetizing, and finding books.

Literary Circle
Residents assist in reading a variety of stories and publications to the group.

Meals in Motion
(Facility’s own program) Facility adopts prospective residents in the community (fi ve or so) and delivers food to them twice a week.

Newsletter Distribution Team
Residents fold, label, stamp, and mail monthly newsletter/calendar.

“No Senior Left Behind”
Residents visit and give gifts to fellow residents in hospital, and taking extra gifts for senior roommates.

Recipe Club
Residents provide favorite recipes and from those, severa are offered as a featured meal for all to enjoy.
Resident Entertainer
Residents share talents by playing an instrument, singing, or telling funny stories before the noon meal.

Senior Center Meals & Desserts
Residents serve and host a meal or dessert at a senior center (while wearing facility’s name apron).

Sewing/Mending Club
Residents assist fellow residents by sharing their sewing skills and mending clothes.

Special Event Food Drive
Residents are in charge of collecting food at special events and distributing them to charities.

Welcoming Ambassadors
Residents help new residents feel welcome and comfortable during their move-in transition.

Special Event Telephone Invitations
Residents who enjoy calling prospective residents and inviting them to the monthly special event.

Adopt-A-Grandparent or Grandchild
Residents participate in local school programs to mentor and bridge the generation gap.

Babies-in-Bundles
Residents crochet or knit baby blankets, mittens, socks, caps and donate to the pediatric unit at local hospital.

Emergency Personnel Appreciation
Residents bake and deliver cookies and treats monthly for local fire/police stations.

Baking for Community Visits
Residents bake bread and cookies and personally deliver them during weekly community visits.
Election Campaigns
Residents volunteer at local campaign offices and polls.

Foster Children Baby Rockers
Residents rock foster babies, as a group, at the facility each week. Rocking chairs can be donated to facility.

Habitat for Humanity
Residents participate in the building of homes by serving drinks, meals, and desserts to the volunteers.

Humane Society
Residents bake doggie/kitty snacks to donate as often as they like - the animals are always appreciative!

Pen Pals to Soldiers
Residents help support our active duty troops by corresponding with encouraging letters.

Knitting/Quilt Making for Specific Donations
Residents knit items to auction at fundraisers for various charities.

Meals on Wheels
Residents volunteer time packaging and delivering food to seniors in the community.

Reading Tutor
Residents spend time helping students improve their reading skills.

Red Cross
Residents help with fundraisers, blood drives, volunteering at the local Red Cross chapter.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program
RSVP–Residents involved in the national program designed to promote senior volunteering.
